Soroll

Documentary
Visual artist and performer Llapispanc is relocating to a new studio after more than a decade of meticulously collecting and repurposing waste from his purchases. His artistic practice has transformed this refuse into a space that symbolizes the ongoing struggle to manage our own physical detritus.
This documentary captures the poignant transition and initiates a conversation reflecting on the evolving role of art centers in accelerating gentrification within his neighborhood. Amidst the relentless hum of nearby construction sites, Llapispanc confronts the profound challenges of facing loss while rambling about the concept of the 'second life' of objects as we pack boxes of materials without a clear plan.
The film not only chronicles his physical relocation and points out how art and environment are intricately connected but also, guided by Peter Watkins' principles of documentary filmmaking—active participation and immersion, a collaborative relationship with subjects, and a strong sense of ethical responsibility and empathy—investigates the broader implications of creative practice in shaping personal and communal experiences.
