dublab wonders what the space it inhabits should be like. currently, the radio is located inside a bar in the center of barcelona. an immobile, neutral and isolated space. a space which feels denatured, built with industrial materials that do not belong to the territory. what would be the materiality of a new site that responded to the values on which dublab was built?

to try to answer this question, the investigation was focused on a possible design of a radio studio that works under certain parameters: modular, mobile, sustainable, made of recycled materials and operated with green energy.

we also took into account two important aspects within the ethos of dublab bcn; that the visual identity of the space is linked to the territory and that the people participating in the project can link to the process (participatory design).
