these recordings are shaped by my connection to the country. my partner grew up here, and through our relationship, I’ve developed a deep emotional bond with the place. I use sound to document this journey, creating a personal sonic diary that reflects the locations I encounter and the intimate moments we share.
therefore, the focus of this project is different from that of other outside recordings. at the same time, I remain acutely aware of the limitations inherent in my eurocentric perspective and the potential biases the selection may introduce.
the project is an ongoing work in progress, constantly evolving with each new interaction. it is an incomplete and fragmented record, aiming to deeply engage with the place and the individuals who have influenced the nature of the person I coexist with.
